Addison WALKS!

So, 13 months, to the day, Addison got up on her feet and just started walking - to my amazement..to Eric's amazement. It was as if she said, "What? You didn't know I could do this?" And Jackson is still flinging himself forward for a few steps and then falling down. He just looks at Addison like, "How are you doing that?" He can still crawl much faster than she walks but it's pretty incredible. She's a little person now. We think the key to the walking is her new shoes. They are pink and silver running shoes...the cutest things ever. Her previous shoes had a putrid smell, because of which, we were calling her snaggle foot. But she's earned a new nickname...she's our walking princess.
We finally got a gate put in at the top of the stairs, so the twins can roam around on the hardwood floors. They LOVE the sound they can make on it. It sure beats the boring carpet that doesn't make any noise.

Last weekend was our first forray into the backyard now that they move. And it was quite a job for the parents! Every rock, stick, leaf, old piece of dog poop...went right into their mouths. Jackson found a hole and he just sat himself in it and giggled. It's a whole new world with them now. We are loving it!
