Fall

Last night, I dropped my cell phone on the floor and I asked Eric to pick it up for me because I can't bend over that far any longer.
He said, "I bet if it were a $20 bill you'd find a way to pick it up." I said, "You're right. I probably would."
And then, in socked feet, because I had just taken off my slip on tennis shoes that Eric bought me, I tried to demonstrate how I might go about doing it.
MISTAKE!
My feet slipped on the flooring and before I knew it, I was in the splits on the floor and my body bounced when it hit the floor. One leg went one way, the other leg went under the bed. It was a hard fall on my tail bone and it hurt! I just sat there and cried, with my eyes closed luckily for Eric, because he was trying to stifle a laugh.
At least he didn't laugh until we found out I was going to be OK....in a ton of pain, but OK. Of course I had a contraction then, but I got into bed and tried to calm down.
Later in the night, he reenacted it for me...and he bounced on the ground. It was funny.
It was a LONG night of pain and no sleep.
And today I'm still in pain from it, and my knee is bruised.
