Glucose

So, this morning I had a simple glucose test....yeah right! I'm learning that nothing is simple during pregnancy. The actual test was easy, actually...I just had to drink this really sugary drink that resembled Orange soda and then wait an hour and have blood drawn.
The NOT-SO-SIMPLE part was having to FAST for 10 hours before hand!! The last time I fasted for 10 hours was...oh, that's right....NEVER!!! And certainly NOT in the 24 weeks I've been pregnant. Good thing the test was at 8 a.m....but I tell you, that hour wait was not fun....do you know how many patients bring in food with them as they wait for the doctor? Thirteen! That's how many this morning.....CRAZY!!!
But I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some yogurt waiting for me in the car, which was key!
